The Strategic Systems Program Office is seeking a student intern to join our Supply Chain Management and Business Operations team. As an Intern, you will collaborate with the senior team and build your foundation in program and subcontract support by assisting with highly visible tasks including program analytics, dashboarding, subcontract closeouts, digitization of historic documents, spreadsheet generation, CDRL support in 3DX, proposal support. This position works closely with various functional teams such as Engineering, Program Offices, Contracts, and Operational departments across the organization. This role will push you to develop your communication, analytical, leadership, and technical skills.   Responsibilities Include: - Collaborate with the Subcontracts and Business Operations team and cross-functional groups. Build and maintain effective working relationships, gaining exposure to various Draper functional groups. - Assist the teams with data input, report generation, digitization of legacy documents. - Assist the subcontracts team with subcontract closeouts, pivot tables, maintaining closeout spreadsheets. - Research ad hoc requests utilizing PeopleSoft Budgeting, Actuals, Data Warehouse and Purchasing systems. - Assist the Program Analysts with various projects including helping with proposal data, generating requisitions, tracking CDRLs and ensuring deliverables are uploaded to 3DX

The Information Security Analyst Co-Op is responsible for implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting information security infrastructure at Draper. This infrastructure includes the solution’s hardware/software, patching, upgrades, and configuration management. The position must also work closely with other members of the Information Security team to monitor and maintain Draper's other security systems, mitigating threats to Draper's network including the triaging and remediation of alerts.   Essential Functions: Note: All essential functions percent time allotment estimates vary based on many factors, some of which including but not limited to organizational needs, applicants areas of interest, and applicants aptitude. - Motivated self-starter that can perform research and apply knowledge whilst being confident to ask for insight, guidance, feedback, and support. There will be regularly scheduled check-ins on a cadence on top of shadowing and general projects that will involve collaboration, but one should escalate for aid/guidance as one feels it is warranted. - Work on long term and short term projects for continual improvement of Enterprise InfoSec that will be an estimated ~10%-50% of hours worked. These will be both team and individually lead with mentor guidance and support. - Alert Triage/Tuning and Incident Response – estimated ~20%-40% of hours worked. - Ticket Triage – estimated 10%-30% of hours worked. These range from network segment design, software security assessments with Legal weigh in, cross-team coordination, governance, and more that will provide insight into many items InfoSec has oversight in and considerations around Governance, Risk, and Compliance that have to be made to support engineering and the business at large. This will include meeting with internal customers, as needed, to discuss their success criteria and come to a potential computing security minded solution. - InfoSec Systems Administration and Continual Improvement – 10%-40% of hours worked depending on organizational needs and applicant’s areas of interest and aptitude. Solutions may include but are not limited to: (H)IPS, DLP, FDE, AV, firewalls, VPN, EDR, EPM, VMS, SIEM, Access Control, etc. - InfoSec and larger organizational technical and organizational meetings shadowing/participation – 10-30% of hours worked depending on organizational needs and applicant’s areas of interest and aptitude.

Draper is seeking an Co-Op Student with interest or expertise in computational fluid dynamics to help design, develop, and analyze novel solutions to problems of national interest.   As a student in the Mechanical Engineering Division, you will be exposed to a broad range of technical challenges where you can apply your knowledge as well as learn new skills while seeing how problems of national interest are solved.    While working under the guidance of engineers, you will set up and run computational fluid dynamic simulations on vehicles of interest. You will then post-process the solutions to translate the results to useful information such as heat flux or sensor performance. Finally, you will communicate the results to stakeholders via presentations or written memos.   Assignments are designed to develop a practical knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, facilities, and systems as well as their interrelationships within engineering disciplines.  Assignments will also provide an opportunity to develop valuable networking connections which will help prepare and develop your skills for future career opportunities.  Actual project tasks will depend on immediate program priorities.

Draper is seeking a mechanical engineering Co-Op Student to help design, develop, and analyze novel solutions to problems of national interest.   As a student in the Mechanical Engineering Division, you will be exposed to a broad range of technical challenges where you can apply your knowledge as well as learn new skills while seeing how problems of national interest are solved. Your experience can range from applying engineering principals while designing and analyzing components, to working directly with engineers and technicians to fabricate and assemble systems.     While working under the guidance of engineers, you can create detailed designs using 3-D CAD software (specifically SolidWorks and/or PTC Creo) or analyzing performance of systems by conducting simulations using finite element software (such as Ansys). While working on tasks, you will gain a better understanding of how to design with consideration for manufacturability, proper drawing creation and tolerancing and/or analysis for structural and thermal performance.  When parts need to be fabricated, you will have the opportunity to work with highly skilled operators in Draper’s extensive machine shop, rapid prototyping lab featuring multiple 3D printers or circuit card assembly facility. You will also have the opportunity to interact with other facilities such as materials characterization or metrology.   Assignments are designed to develop a practical knowledge of processes, procedures, equipment, facilities, and systems as well as their interrelationships within engineering disciplines. Assignments may include such disciplines as personnel clearances, classified information management, security auditing and inquiries, physical security, etc. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: shadowing security employees to learn their duties and responsibilities by working with security officers, industrial security specialists, and employees throughout the organization.
