This is a paid, full-time internship in the law department of a major nonprofit science research and development corporation in Cambridge, MA.
The intern will assist attorneys by performing legal research, reviewing and analyzing agreements, cataloguing the companies’ intellectual property strategy, providing research support for commercialization projects and corporate transactions, performing legal research and writing relating to licensing intellectual property, and working on other projects in a variety of legal practice areas. Our goal is to mentor candidates in our top-quality in-house legal environment. Interns will work closely with the law department attorneys and other legal professionals on assigned matters and will have informal opportunities to learn about the practice of law. The intern will also have the opportunity to interact with other functions within the company, including finance, corporate communications, risk management, and research and development. The intern will be supervised by attorneys in the legal department and are expected to be able to work on any matter.
Intern candidates must possess excellent communication, organizational skills and writing skills. Intern candidates must be highly motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Student must be currently enrolled in a graduate law program at an accredited university.
