Draper is conducting a nation-wide search for a highly innovative and experienced individual to lead our Sensors and Imaging Systems Group. The successful candidate will lead an organization tasked with exciting development tasks for one-of-a-kind applications. Responsibilities will include business area development, proposal generation and technical project management, in addition to basic group leader functions including hiring and staff development. Group activities range from analysis of novel sensors and imaging systems, to system concept definition and design, system engineering, build and integration management, characterization and test.
Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent. 10+ years of experience desired. The candidate’s background should include instances of technical leadership and design responsibility on fielded or prototyped sensors or imaging instruments. The applicant should be an expert system design engineer with specific strengths in imaging-technology proposal development. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Must be willing to travel.
This position will require the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance. Main requirement for a security clearance is US Citizenship.
