The Information Security Office has numerous departments under its purview, including the Security Operations Center (SOC), Information Security Operations, (InfoSec Ops), and the Information Assurance and Risk Management (IA) department. Some of the activities include managing boundary and internal cyber security technologies, compliance and procedural enforcement and development, and working with the SOC to ensure that the boundary defenses are robust. Also the Information Security Office is tasked with reviewing technologies to ensure that those technologies are inherently secure, and/or, designing and recommending secure solutions. Further, this office will manage and/or, assist with forensic reviews and conduct scans of Draper’s network, and recommend best practices to ensure remediation of identified vulnerabilities. This office further works towards maintaining a secure computing environment for all of Draper’s operational and business groups. As such, intern(s) will be expected to support all facets of the Information Security Office and the responsibilities will be wide and varied, however, specifically, the intern(s) will be expected to accompany staff relative to interviews as they relate to development of system security plans as well as review policy and procedure documents.
