    Opportunity for a summer student to function in a business environment and participate in the various stages of procuring goods and services for Draper.  The student will will be given a thorough overview of the process for purchasing goods and services using both Draper and sponsored funding. The student will correspond with vendors, obtain price quotes, and request completion of procurement related forms and will act as liaison between the programs, administrative units and the procurement department. The student will need to be familiar with Microsoft Outlook (Email), Excel and Word and possess excellent written and communication skills. 


    • Requires enrollment in a Masters Degree program.
    • Interest in purchasing, contract management and/or procurement or supply chain management.
    • Good computer skills related to system data entry and reporting.
    • Excellent customer service skills and able to work and communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, and scientists as well as business and logistics personnel.
    • Ability to work well as team member and individual contributor.
    • Knowledge and experience with MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Individual must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
    • U.S. Citizenship required.
