Responsibilities

Strategic Communication Co-ops will work collaboratively with the Draper Strategic Communication Team to create a variety of strategic campaigns, ranging from advertisements to Go-To-Market strategies.

 

These co-ops will work with, and translate information from, engineers, scientists, and business program managers to draft and execute plans designed to achieve specific business goals.

 

  • Write, design, and coordinate distribution of communication products
  • Conduct market research
  • Assist in brainstorming concepts for upcoming projects & marketing strategies
  • Plan Draper-related events
  • Travel (occasionally) for event set-up

            In the past, co-ops have:

  • Traveled to Florida for the grand opening of a new work site
  • Helped coordinate a Cirque de Soleil show for employees and their families
  • Coordinated annual Employee Social Gala
  • Met with cable executives at various local stations to research advertising campaigns
  • Attended 1:1’s with Draper’s President and CEO

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate communication program
  • Must be extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Must have ability to work independently as well as in partnership with team
  • Must be able to define and work to deadlines
  • Marketing savvy, creative and forward thinking
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs

             

  • The intern must be either a Second or Third co-op enrolled in a college program and able to commit to work at Draper full time or 40 hours per week (between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.).
