Responsibilities

In his position the selected student will work closely with the legal department’s attorneys on assigned matters.

  • Assist attorneys by performing legal research, review and analysis of IP agreements, development of the companies’ new intellectual property strategy, and work on other projects in a variety of legal practice areas, such as federal government contract law and employment law. 
  • Perform administrative tasks as requested.
  • Will have the opportunity to interact and work with other functions within the company, including finance, corporate communications, risk management and research and development.
  • The intern will be supervised by attorneys in the legal department and are expected to be able to work on any matter. 
  • Selected candidates must be eligible to work in the US

Qualifications

Draper Laboratory’s General Counsel’s office is offering a part-time (16 hours per week), internship for the fall 2017 semester. Intern candidates must have completed at least one course in intellectual property law and must possess excellent communication, organizational skills and writing skills.

 

Must be meet eligibility to work in the US (US Citizens or Permanent Residence Status)
